Since it was established in 2002, the International Society for Language Studies has grown rapidly as a world-wide organization of volunteers, scholars and practitioners committed to critical, interdisciplinary, and emergent approaches to language studies. Along with the annual conference and journal, Critical Inquiry in Language Studies, ISLS publications seeks to strengthen this mission by:
ISLS Publications initiatives are designed to feature seasoned
practitioners and scholars, as well as fresh new talent from around
the world. Though not always in the mainstream and, perhaps,
controversial, these publications are supported by grounded research
and peer review. ISLS strives to sustain and strengthen the field of
language studies. We invite you to browse our series initiatives,
examine and purchase these publications from the over 10,000
international bookstores, venders, and on-line services (amazon.com,
barnesandnoble.com, borders.com, and others), and to consider
publishing your work with us.
